Men's soccer scholarship
The historical fact that soccer was considered an unpopular sport in the USA is long outdated. More and more top European football players are drawn to the land of opportunities to showcase their skills there.

Professional sports

The most prominent figure in college soccer at the moment is Jack Harrison. He excelled as an offensive player at Wake Forest University in 2015 and was selected by New York City FC in the 2016 MLS Superdraft. His market value is currently estimated at 20-30 million.

Fans

In 2022, a record was set with 74,000 spectators at the opening game of the MLS franchise Charlotte FC against LA Galaxy. Atlanta United holds the highest average attendance in MLS with nearly 50,000 spectators per game.

Development

While the initial MLS franchise teams had to pay a buy-in fee of 10 million USD, the buy-in fee for the 30th franchise, which is expected to be announced at the end of 2023, is likely to be close to 300 million USD.
